“Upon deciding on date, venue etc the next piece to arrange was the photographer.
I was recommended to various photographers however I didn’t feel the style of their images was what we were looking for. A friend then recommended Wil and upon viewing his website and other wedding pictures I knew exactly that his style was what we were after to capture our special day.
From our first meeting with Wil he was very friendly and took notes of all of our requests. He travelled to the venue in advance and provided us with many ideas for the best photo opportunities.
Wil requested a schedule of events for the day to ensure he was always at the right place at the right time to take the best photos however this also helped us plan the day too to ensure all ran smoothly with the restaurant etc.
On the day itself Wil was always professional, smart and non intrusive. He managed to capture the day perfectly with such ease.
Shortly after the wedding Wil promptly provided us with images via a link to download. We were more than happy with all of our images and we would recommend Wil to anyone who is looking for a photographer to capture any special event.
Julie and Adrian x “
I met Julie at the relaxed and friendly Grade 2 listed The Brighton Hotel situated on Brighton Seafront with stunning views of the English Channel, on what was a scorching hot summers day. We spent some time here capturing photographs of Julie getting ready in one of the spacious suites, lots of natural light which made for some great photography. In between this session I popped down to the hotel bar to capture some of Adrian and his best man.
It was the time to head across to the Victorian The Brighton Bandstand for the ceremony itself, what a beautifully unique venue with an amazing back drop for photographs.
Following the wedding ceremony itself it was then a short stroll along the promenade to the wedding breakfast venue which was hosted at Al-Fresco (Now known as the The Brighton Beach Club) in a fabulous Art Deco style building right on Brighton beach..
Tian & Arran
Testimonial from Tian and Arran:
“Tian and I are very happy that we chose Wil to be our wedding photographer, originally we approached him because we liked his photography style and his approach from the website.
After a great first meeting and discussion we knew Wil was a good choice.
On the day itself, we were of course to busy to fuss over photos. Wil was excellent at getting on with the job, working tirelessly to get the "fly on the wall" style shots we wanted.
He did keep us on track for the posed group photos too, ever patient and politely reminding us what shots we had desired when we were too caught up in the occasion to remember.
We will forever cherish the emotions of ourselves and our guests on the day, thanks to the amazing job Wil did in capturing the event.
Tian and Arran”
The day started bright and early at Smooth Operators barber shop in Battle where Arran received a hot towel shave and haircut, an impeccable but relaxed service. From here I then went to the family home in Battle to spend some time capturing photographs of Tian and her family getting ready. Tian dress was made by Arran sister who is a successful dress maker. It was then time to head to the beautiful St Oswalds church in Hooe where the service was held followed by tea and biscuits with the Vicar and other guests. The reception itself was held at the Power Mills Hotel & Restaurant just outside Battle, which is a beautiful Grade II listed Hotel in a restored Georgian Country House in acres of landscaped gardens, lakes, woods and fields within walking distance of the medieval town of Battle. What an amazing location , a truly perfect backdrop to capture some really special photographs against. One of the highlights was meeting and seeing the amazing magician Alexander James in action as he entertained and enthralled Tian and Arran as well as their guests.
Kat & Neil
Tina & Jim
Tina and Jim decided to renew their wedding vows in front of family and friends at the Eastbourne Bandstand . With drinks beforehand at The Cavendish Hotel . The iconic bandstand was too good an opportunity to miss from a photographic perspective. What a fun filled day it was, with lots of laughter and good times had by all, topped off with some dancing to an excellent live band called The Hooteneers .
Paula & Gavin
Testimonial from Paula & Gavin:
“I met Wil through working in the same building for a number of years and we became friends. I had seen a lot of his portraiture via his various social media channels. What struck me and my wife about Will’s work, was how he is able to capture people going about their business in various scenario’s. His photography really stuck a cord with my wife and i.
So when we decided to get married, there was only one option for us for a photographer, Will Wardle. Will met with us a couple of times to discuss what we wanted, Will did a lot of prep to understand us and went to scout out where we wanted our photo’s done and also our reception venue. His preparation in this way made the process of having the photo’s done really easy, as he had already worked out where he wanted us and how things would work. Will took the stress out of that process for us and it was greatly appreciated.
At our reception venue, you really didn’t know will was there and the shots he took of our guests and us were awesome. We printed a lot of the portraiture photo’s of our friends and sent them as Christmas presents. All the photo’s are still displayed in our friends houses.
Will’s skill with the camera and preparation for the day, ensured that our special day was captured in the way we wanted it to be. We continue too recommend Will to all our friends who are looking for a photographer be it for weddings, special occasions or family photo’s. You really cannot go wrong with Will doing your photo’s what ever the occasion. “
Paula and Gavin were married at the Kingston Registry office in London. The day however began at the sumptuous Cannizaro House in Wimbledon. Paula and Gavin had been upgraded to a suite, and this made the perfect backdrop for pre-wedding photos. We returned to Cannizaro House after the ceremony and took a series of photos in the beautiful gardens, before heading to Wimbledon Rugby Club for the wedding breakfast. Each location was perfect and provided the perfect setting for some very lovely wedding photography.
Bronwen & Rohan
Bronwen and Rohan were married in Caldicot Castle which is situated in Monmouthshire, South East Wales. The day started at the brides parents house in Newport. The wedding ceremony and reception were then held at the castle, which made for fabulous photography.
Testimony from Bronwen and Rohan:
Good friend, good photographer. Wil captured the day beautifully: colourful, happy and relaxed! We couldn’t recommend him enough! Thank you for being part of our special day!
