Business Trip to Brussels

A selection of photos from a recent business trip to Brussels. Usually I don't get out much when travelling abroad for work beyond the office I am visiting, the hotel I am staying at and usually a dinner in a nice restaurant with colleagues in the evening. The photo snaps I do take (as I always do) I mostly post on my "Instagram Story" feed

On this occasion though I had the opportunity to travel into central Brussels early evening first night I was there (it was that or sit in a hotel room).

Was also feeling a little inspired after looking through Indy's photos from her recent trip to NYC and sought to make the most of the opportunity afforded to me.

California Dreaming

California Dreaming

Last in my current series of Americans Abroad. This time of an old beautifully restored 1950's Red Chevrolet Pick Up (or bakkie as we call them in South Africa). This was taken last summer in St Leonard's down a back street I decided to explore, very happy to have found this.

The journey continues with my Americans Abroad project (an off shoot of my Exploring the Automobile series). This car (I believe its an Oldsmobile - will stand corrected) was photographed in St Leonards. The scene made me think of an episode of the Sopranos or similar. I love scenes like this when I come across them, and in fact get quite excited, as I find it so surreal and love the sense of Americana it evokes here in the UK.

This portrait was taken on a workshop I did with renowned street photographer Antonio Olmos. This was taken in Brighton, on the flea market held off the Laines in Brighton. This also forms part of my environmental series of photographs, and is part street portrait too.

Photograph of a 'Boss' Harley Davidson taken in Palma de Mallorca last year. I like how the figure on the right appears to be scampering away.
